Real Media is an excellent codec and has served TV Ark since its conception in 1998. With the prevalence of high-speed broadband and new video technologies, Real Media is now somewhat restrictive. The word 'restrictive' has been the drive behind TV Ark Interactive. It's a way to bring TV Ark and its vast content to more restricted desktop environments that Real Media is not able to be easily accessed.
As TV Ark is a not-for-profit site that relys on team contributions, we were financially restricted in purchasing a media system that could bring what is now popular - Adobe Flash - to your desktop. Our new interactive media presentation system was written and designed in-house. The system took around 6 months to design / programme and lays the foundation for some exciting future enhancements. We hope that the system is well received and lifts TV Ark
into a new realm of desktop viewing. Hopefully, the restrictions of Real Media have been alleviated and that TVARK iNTERACTIVE is now more accessible than ever. Wherever.
The interactive area will follow very soon.
TVARK iNTERACTIVE is an exclusive club for tv enthusiasts. It's a way for you to add further information about clips featured on our site. Share your thoughts with other like minded people around the globe who have a passion about television presentation.
You will be given access to an enhanced video player where you can see the number of clips views, comments from other members, plus the ability to favourite clips. In the future you will be able to upload your own material for members only. This is something we are currently developing.
